Visual contrasts are often used in magazines/publications to refresh and sustain visual interest so you keep turning the page as you’re kept engaged with the images.
Using the adobe colour wheel I created a colour palette from my chosen image, I then used this strict colour palette to create different slides showing visual contrasts including: different compositions, colours for different elements such as backgrounds and text and sizing.
I just had fun with the task and experimented with the different ways I could edit the image, one of my favourite is rotating the image so that it’s flipped, this is highlighted as I put a monochrome filter over the background image making a starker contrast between the two which I feel is more impacting. This showed me how effective even just adding a tint to a photo or using single v multiple images can create such a visual contrast.
